Ball-Bustin'

You all love those slam ball. I'd love it if you all did them better though. It's ok to walk that line of perfection and "get'er-done" intensity, where things start to break down. Most of the time the fatigue issues are manageable. But a lot of what I'm seeing looks like laziness. There's no reason not to bend the knees. None. There's no reason not to get full extension.. There's no reason not to slam that ball hard.. Unless you don't actually want to do any of the work, in which case, you came to the wrong place..

So watch this video that took me way too long to make, splice, and upload (so you better enjoy it!) and figure out where you stand.

I'm a big fan of slam balls because they transfer into so many other things, but only if they're done correctly. Otherwise, they're great for training the wrong, injurious form.

Enjoy!

P.S. These are long-standing issues, so the time off isn't a factor. Everyone knows how to do them right. Right is better.

  1. Funny to watch you mimicking us with the slam ball. Were we that bad? Guilty as charged for laziness, however. Thanks for the video.

  4. Rusticles,
Great video. Love to see you re-enact bad form.
I often try to imagine what new excercises you will come up with to keep the workouts fresh, (something you do amazingly well), but friggin jumping slam balls would not have come to me. Ever.

I must get back out there to enjoy the fun.
