I think the main thing is that silly beans and jells and goo are not very good fuel sources. I'm going to agree with Kim and just keep drinking water with some occasional electrolyte intake, which can come from salty protein (carnitas). You can plan your runs to make stops at all your favorite eateries haha.
What's an example of a low-carb plus protein beverage?

ReplyDeleteAccelerade is an example of a sports drink with protein. I think their 'low sugar' option would be what you're looking for.
ReplyDeleteSome people get nausea from protein in sports drinks, I personally preferred it when running. I felt it helped me last longer when doing large runs.
