We miss you veteran Bhipsters! Keep kicking butt! We'll see you on Wednesdays. FYI: your reputation precedes you. The new Bhipsters did pretty darn good today. I think we've got a thing going on here!
Seeing the two large groups of BHIPsters (5:15 and 6:15pm)working out last night brought tears to my eyes...and I know at least three who can't walk down stairs today. Ah the memories.
8 friends from Athletics are BHIP pups, so I got to hear the tales of near face plants during planks, and wobbly walks back to work hoping knees wouldn't buckle. Ahh, the memories of those original moments of exhilaration and pain... jo
I have about 5 friends in the new group and they are lovin' it already even with that 1st day squat pain. Something like Bhip on campus was a long time coming. Seeing employees from every department doing the same thing together is an awesome thing. We are very greatful.
Ditto Elisa! It's fun to watch the newbies. It's reinventing that "drive" within me to continue.
BTW, there are two things posted in my office that helps me to remember... my BHIP Certificate and a picture of the 11am group (A Team) on Janss Steps (my hardest workout ever).
Tears.. there's no time for those. The zombies will feed on them for their strength. That's why I've trained you all to show no fear or weakness or submission. Think about the difference from when you started to now.
At the end of last week I realized that between the different workouts, warm-ups and my own work that I did more than 500 squats that week without really noticing. If you had told me that after the first day, that 500 squats wouldn't really faze me, I would have thought "Yeah, right." Now? Bring it on. And throw in some push-ups and sit-ups while you're at it.
(Uh, please don't take that as a dare, Rusticles.) :)
Feel free to do "Murph" at your leisure. I'm a huge fan of it, but it's not something we all would capitalize in strength from. I will consider posting it as an optional supplement for a future week though and if you and a group of other want to do it, be my guest.
yippeeeeee....we are still here and proud!!!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if we could do a re-teach on double unders. I've been trying, but I'm getting nowhere with them and could use some pointers.
We miss you guys too - was pretty awesome to see how many people were out there today.

So, I'm thinking that Murph should make a re-appearance... what do you think Russ?
